Such a sad occurrence in nature. Probably monitoring the situation is in the best interest of the birds. Somehow I just think this good deed might become a problem over time though! sam

Second reply: thanks for asking. Lumbago is better since I decided not to rest but to move around. Still, another two days to go and then it usually disappears as mysteriously as it comes.

I'm so sorry. That is definitely not a pretty sight and what makes it worse is that you can do absolutely nothing. It's just the law of nature, the survival of the strongest. Hopefully it'll be over soon. Thanks for your comment on my joke. I guess matters are changing now as France has Carla Bruni for a First Lady who has charmed the socks off the Britishers.
