spinner - an apology is enough to have you removed from my block list
But I don't see much future in dialogue between us. For me, conversing with you is a complete concession to what you believe. When someone gives characteristics of a conscious entity to a mythical religious construct such as: "hell don't care . . . " , I simply don't know what to say in reply.

spinner - wow . . . is all that I can say
Even though our last attempt at dialogue degenerated into you hurling profanities, I'm going to respond to your comment anyways.
Do you not see where what you are saying is simply offering an excuse for some groups, (in this case Christians, simply because they are the only religion that believes in Satan) to deflect personally responsibility for their actions? Whether you realize it or not, the conclusion drawn from what you are suggesting validates the notion that Kooka puts forth in his blog title: "THE STATISTICS SEEM TO SAY ATHEISM IS A BETTER WAY OF LIFE THAN BELIEF"
If as you suggest, an individual that does not believe in God is not subject to temptation by Satan throughout their lives, they are very likely to lead a much better life and be much more trustworthy people. Certainly much better citizens and neighbours in any society where the majority of people are being tempted by Satan.

that is a really good assessment you hit the nail on the head. keep on you goanna build a house cuz. Like I said I am not here to condemn anyone that is not my intentions all I no is what the word says and it says there is no way to heaven except threw christ. What seems funny to you, I on the other hand take very serious being a christian. I am not the picture perfect christian and I do not think simply believing in christ will get me to heaven. Kooka spoke of morals I do not believe one has to believe in Christ or God to have morals it is my belief that every man woman and child , inevitably no right from wrong. I believe this is the spiritual side of a human being not the flesh. The devil temps the flesh your morals lead you in the right direction if you let them. This makes a person descent what one might call good decent or not without christ one can not enter the gate beyond a certain age. Remember even Christ did not consider himself good in the flesh. Yea I say unto you none is good except he how art in heaven.

kooka_lives - the devil owns your soul, admit it now, there's still time
I'm sorry but sometimes these comments make me laugh out loud. Though barely articulated, the crux of what is being said is that: believers don't fare as well in statistics measuring things such as divorce rates, incarceration etc. (when compared to atheists) because they are being tempted by Satan. Atheists on the other hand are not being tempted by Satan because Satan knows that simply not believing in God condemns them eternally and all he has to do is be patient, their souls will come to him inevitably.
The scary part of this is that to some people, this is considered a form of reasoning. They actually believe it makes perfect sense.

it is the devils intentions to do what he can to believers to currupt them and keep them from shining a good light toward christ as much as he can because that is his job. why would he temp a none believer? it is not my objective to say that either or are going hell, that is not for me to decide. There would be no reason for the devil to waste his time on getting someone on his side if they are on his side allready. You do not have to believe in hell to make it there but you do have to believe in jesus to make it to heaven this is my belief, it has to be if I call myself a christian. At the same time I can call myself a christian all day every day, that will not buy me a ticket to heaven.

So it's the Devil's fault that believers are less moral than non-believers?
That doesn't really reflect well on any concept of God in the end. You are saying that God sends molar people to Hell, just because they are unable to believe in him and that immoral people have a better chance of salvation. Seems rather unfair and unjust.
If that is the case, then why care about morals at all?

with no harm intended to you or any of your constituants. It is my belief that the devil need not shed grief on non believers it is the devils job to gather up as many souls that he can. That said why should he worry over a soul he already owns.

kooka_lives - it's atheist propaganda I tell ya, all of it started by Satan
My joking aside and assuming for a minute that the statistics presented are fairly accurate as far as statistics go, the reasoning why this is so is very basic. Amongst the factors that would influence these numbers there is one undeniable prominent aspect. As I have said many times, honesty is at the very core of why atheists are atheists to begin with. This inherent honesty is an integral part of success in marriage as well as being an important element determining criminal behaviour. Education and human intelligence, cited as determining influences of belief, are simply avenues facilitating the manifestation of this inherent honesty against a backdrop of social conditioning that is decidedly pulling in the other direction.

I think that many of the statistics are as they are because "belief" is such a broad concept. The reality is that people hide behind their religious beliefs. Many in religious circles fear education because they claim it causes unbelief, and discourage it.
Additionally, look at the basic ideal of "being saved", a belief that a large number of folks that call themselves Christian hold to be true. In many circles being saved mean once in your life you accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior you're going to heaven. You can literally do anything you want and get away with it. And as the statistics you've presented here show, they often do.
