It's an excellent letter
in an age when letter-writing has all but vanished--along with pleasant urban districts where cars don't dominate the scene-- and it sounds like a great model for any downtown development. I hope your point comes home to the folks who make the decisions--namely, the public that can speak up or acquiesce now, and revel or complain later.
Great closing on the letter, by the way!
ps, I grew up in Bergen County--River Vale and Montvale mainly.
