It's never too late buddy.  NEVER too late to turn things around for yourself....unless you DIE, which you seem to imply in this poem.  How utterly depressing, Mike.  What am I to do with you??

Okay, let me be serious for a second:  Mistakes can be fixed...but not in the fashion you want them to be fixed.  It will happen all on its own, in its own way and it will never be the way you want it to be.  That's how life is...that's why so many people believe that life f*cks them over because they don't see the results THEY want to see.  It's a selfish habit of ours. But we have to think above that.  I firmly believe things happen and rehappen for a reason.  Go with the flow of life and you'll find that life runs a lot smoother when you're not stressed over the results.  The same goes for love:  When you lose it, you grieve, but it must have happened for a good reason, and after some time to console your heart, you start to move on and not neglect the people around you who still care....that wouldn't be fair to them, and no matter how much you hurt, you have to eventually become strong again for them.

I know you were hurt deeply and you probably don't ever want to move on and you want to hold onto that love you've cared for for so long.  But if you constrict it with your pain for too long, it will eventually give out and what will you do then?  Besides, like I said, you're still so young.  Life has barely begun for you, guaranteed.  You might not want to listen to me, and want to believe that there's nothing better out there...but there is.  There always is.  However, when we're happy, the "something better" disappears because your soul is happy.  But the "something better" does not disappear when you are hurt.  It just waits patiently for your return, so you can find happiness again.

Okay, I'm sorry I began to rant on here, but I just wanted to let you know, there are endless possibilities out there for you still and this is definitely not the end.

There are never too many mistakes. You need only find one person who will forgive you. One out of six billion is not bad odds.

Hey, beautiful poem, a little dark but wonderful.  You are so talented, just remember that mistakes that we learn from are no longer mistakes, they become lessons.  Smile and chin up :-)
