Sunnybeach7 - what I think is cool about it is that it is one slick website

for selling stuff via affiliate links.

If one considers the goal of a website monetized by affiliate links (in this case mostly Amazon books) to get as many people as possible to view items they have for sale while building a mailing list, this website gets an A+ on all counts. Where one could argue the value of the belief system selector as representing anything meaningful, there is no arguing that most people who stop by take at least a glance at what they are selling by following the links.

When it is realized the broad parameters they use to encompass the Neo-Pagan classification, I'm surprised that there are not more amongst us.

FineYoungSinger - silly me for sitting down at the computer while not
wearing my mind reading helmet.

Re: Re: Hmm....let some computer program tell me what I believe?

gomedome---I actually wrote on a piece of paper and handed to my husband the fact that you'd respond that I missed the point.

I took the test and it told me that I should be a Quaker or a Russian Orthodox.  Since I'm neither Russian nor a Nixon, I responded as I did.  K?

ZenMom - I found it interesting to see how my answers aligned with the

beliefs of others.

And as I have viewed myself as a secular humanist ever since I read the description of what a secular humanist is, there were really no surprises.

Re: Re: Hmm....let some computer program tell me what I believe?
GD - Agreed w/ your comment here in response to FYS. It was interesting but, I do believe she took it much too seriously. I did end up going to amazon.com and checking out some of the books related to those belief systems which scored high on my profile.....

Re: Hmm....let some computer program tell me what I believe?
FineYoungSinger - it's a shame that you missed the implied sentiment of this post. Let me give you a hint: lighthearted piece of fluff, possibly an interesting distraction

Hmm....let some computer program tell me what I believe?
Or just continue to know in my heart the truth and go from there?  I prefer to define myself than let some questionnaire author define me.

Xeno-x - Re: THIS IS ODD etc.
I see your point but I don't see it as that odd when looked at with a little more scrutiny. Neo-Paganism is going to be the most likely label to screw up the results simply because it is so all encompassing and vague as far as descriptive religious belief terms go. Throw it out and you are left with Unitarian Universalism which is how I would describe what I know of your beliefs.
