I've thought about the "other woman" in this case "J"
who doesn't know what's going on. But whatever she has
with RS, it was enough to keep her interested all these years
and visa versa. Would she have had a better life if she
had known the "truth" about him? I don't know. I think
at this point, if she found out it would be devasting.

It's a touchy subject.
I think that if you and your partner can agree to be open and honest, that's great. And it was pretty hard for you to face up to the fact that RS was a liar and a cheat. Being that I was on the opposite side of the fence for years, I'll confess to being biased about the topic. But I do applaud this post for its frankness.

Cynthia, I'm not sure it was me who said TV bored her, that was Crabby
Some of it is pretty boring, but I do like a good flick...

Cynthia:

The lying always complicates things.  If you decide to live a lifestyle consisting of "open relationships", I'd think the only way to do it is to be honest about it.  Otherwise, as you say, you are a liar and a cheat, no matter how you try to justify it.  Besides, it must be a terribly stressful way to live, lying all the time.  Better to be honest with everyone involved, I'd say.

Ariala, I think I read on one of your posts
that television bores you. Same for me.
So I had to make my life interesting enough
so I wouldn't have to to turn it on.
