In religion I find a kind of Christian Catharism to my own liking as well as many Buddhist techniques for catharsis towards better understanding of reality. 

I'm not a trained economist although I had Economics in School up to the end, so I'm reluctant to take a specific stance there at this stage.  I'm definitely against the manipulation of currency and value by a handful of greedy bastards though.

In politics Id opt for a kind of socialist republic where the state looks after and controls essentials and were the ministers are civil servants on normal salaries with the relevant qualifications and proven merit in their fields of service.  The head of state should also be a person who views him/herself as a servant of the people and should also be a role model of highest moral standing, whether this be a Monarch or President.  I'm kind of a sucker for old time romantic Kings and Queens, but I'll accept a President if there is no such ruler.
