jefco - There unfortunately is not a way to edit comments you have left on

other posts.

fair enough -- In fact after I posted the comment I felt improper
about using a third party to make my point, there were, are many other ways to do so. I am thankful you exercised your right to edit and repost.    Is there away I could have done it myself?

jollyjeff - thank you - I do try to adhere to some basic journalism rules

and policies while writing any of my blogs.

I try to do adequate research on a subject before writing an article about it. If I make a mistake or post something erroneous (hey, it happens), I make a point of either editing the post or deleting the comment.

The reason I read you
is that you are far from ignorant, you know a lot about your subject.

vogue - I'm not sure how much it counts towards the real thing

ZenMom - it is virtually guaranteed that when someone mentions that they

are a MENSA member over and over again, that they are not.

It has been my experience that highly intelligent people typically have an abundance of self confidence. Dropping credentials is typically a need of those lacking in self confidence. I know a handful of legitimate MENSA members, I've never heard them mention it once.

Thank you for the kind words.

jefco - I thought it prudent to remove your comment, edit it and repost it

So as not to contravene the site user agreement, derogatory references cannot be about specific people but to answer your question: there are some but not many

The body of your comment reposted below:

I think COMMON SENSE can be held responsible for how we should treat each other, religion is just a tag along with its own spin, conversely religion and/or religious fanatics are clearly, historically, irrefutably responsible for the greatest atrocities against man, the most senseless wars and the definite precursor to racism.  All that said there is more to the human condition then just science, life is just too complex to believe otherwise.

I cannot disagree with anything you have said.

I've have a "friend" whom claims to be MENSA (and is raising soon to be MENSA children). I am always suspicious of her "need" to work the fact into our conversations. Isn't telling me ONCE that she is a member of this "elite" group enough?

Also, I respect your "effort deep" manner of dealing w/ religion in your blog. You never give up.......you never surrender. (I think that's a line from a movie.) I have learned much from reading your posts.
