- Go to Sen. Barack Obama's painful journey
It may well be that Senator Obama's exposure to the diatribe of Rev. Wright led him to conclude that race, and its application, were so corrosive to the America he loves that it heightened his resolve to transcend such divisions. I applaud him for initially not renouncing his association with the Reverend. After all, the Senator knows the good there is in this preacher. It just proves how magnanimous the Senator is at heart. But as he said yesterday, the Reverend has caused 'enough' consternation. I hope the electorate appreciates, and understands, this.

Davideskin,
Well stated. Except! How much "personal" can you attach to a relationship that you have with your Pastor, Priest, Rabbi, or other Religious figure. It is too clear that Rev. Wright speaks for none other than Rev. Wright! How much he has confused "real" fact with fiction is known only to him. If you want to judge Sen. Obama by the words of Rev. Wright I fear the motive is cover for a deeper ill. I am not sure that Rev. Wright's words at all represent his work. That we can judge!
