a smile
I never smile at people. It is a way to make yourself vulnerable. It is better to not smile and not get hurt by others

I agree!
I have often felt the "power" of a smile. When I am going through an emotionally difficult time and someone smiles - a genuine smile that comes from the heart and is reflected the person's face - then I immediately feel stronger and more capable of facing the day's challenges. It is amazing what a smile can do.

Absolutely! Have you ever smiled at the mother in law? Perhaps she doesn't know how it's done and needs a few instructions?

When I had braces, I never smiled. Is she self-conscious about her smile.

It actually
Takes more muscles to frown then to smile...so someone once told me, probably my mother. I know that some people feel bitter about their life, I am one of them and I lost my smile for a few weeks recently...but last night as I watched 'Two and a Half Men,' I laughed right out loud and found myself smiling until I fell asleep.

I feel sorry for those
the people who don't smile. It's a choice that they make to keep themselves from being happy. I wonder if it's biologically possible to feel joy without smiling?
