This is real poetry! (And real life too!)
Your writing here is... full of rhytm... It's like music!... A Sad, Sad Song... (Lou Reed)

In these few passages
you have traced the trajectory of this woman's life so amazingly well, one almost, but just almost, forgets that this is a very sad tale...

Thanks for your comment on my bus ride. You should have written the grey hound book. The experiences are truly endless and the stories, whether true or partly invented, glorious. I'll go again tomorrow.

Beautiful, tall Sandy had 'spunk' she was a real kick in the pants. As the young girl that I was she often shocked me with her bluntness but at the same time I admired her greatly. She had no children but she left wonderful memories in my mind that I shall never forget. Thank you for commenting

Vicki
She was a wonderful woman...so full of life and yet she died alone in a little house all by herself. I too need to be kinder and more open to people...but you and I have our wonderful children. Sandy (the woman I speak of) never had children

What a tragic, tragic story. I loved the way you spaced it, building up tension to the bitter end. But one has to admire that woman's spunk.

Oh how sad ... this is one of my biggest fears ....
to die alone.   I really need to start being nicer to people so that doesn't happen!  Seriously, this is just heartbreaking.
