Vogue: I understand where your comments are coming from. I was a journalist for 17 years and reported on issues of poverty and injustices of human rights. I think having an altruistic attitude can make a major shift in our thinking. It starts with one person deciding they don't want to see violence, starvation and lack in our children. I am no Mother Teresa, but I would like to see an end to the injustices created by institutions, religions, governing regimes and find the resources that would enable everyone to have equal opportunities. Yes, I am altruistic, but if someone doesn't have dreams and ideals about equality...Martin Luther King...Mohammed, Jesus, Ghandi, and others, then buying into the idea no one can change what is...is very short sighted. Everyone can make a difference in at least one person's life. That is my goal as I already teach the arts to inner city kids who are from their own war-torn society of violence, drug abuse prostitution etc...so what differentiates the war-torn of our own cities kids to those who are from Afghanistan, Iraq, or Bosnia... I have aloso taught these kids of refugee families and they are eager to create a future of peace and prosperity and creativity. So what about you?

An Atlas in Dreams
You've a good head on your shoulders to make dreams come true for others and yourself, love. Take care.

Have you ever personally BEEN to a war torn country where the people can do nothing else but try to survive, not from one day to the next but from one hour to the next? If so you would know that your very noble ideals - and no doubt they are just that - are utopia.
