Proselytization through dissemination of religious material is the intent
here. I agree with the court's decision. Religion, insofar as it does not pertain to a learning experience and/or explanation of particular religions, should not be brought into a school system. What people do with their personal lives is their own business. Pushing religion on children -- and make no mistake, that's what was going on here -- is wrong. These very same people defending this would scream bloody murder if a Muslim organization set up a table inside a school and began to hand out Qurans. No, if you want your child to become exposed to anything other than an explanation and/or history of a particular religion, you have the opportunity to teach the child yourself, attend that religion's ceremonies, or expose the child in some way to that religion. School is not the place for it. I don't want anyone influencing my son on what or how he should believe. I respectfully do the same by others' children.
