Ha! Reminds me of the Chicago Cows on vacation
series they brought to Beaufort one year. A couple of drunk marines were arrested for acting like they were trying to sodomize one -- this made the front page of the local paper and sparked outrage all over the community -- ceramic cattle rape -- crime of the century!

Mother and Child Divided by Damien Hirst.  If you are wondering why they only have two legs each, it is because he sliced them each in half from head to tail before soaking them in formaldehyde.  Each half is in a separate box so you can be on the insides of the cows.  I think they look a little cowed myself.

This reminds me of an art/science display that was in Vancouver a while back (no doubt it hit your part of the word)- body parts sliced open, preserved, and then coated with some form of plastic.  You could see all the muscles, bones, etc.  You - Mr. Tidbit - must be familiar with what I'm talking about.  Not sure that I want to go see some pickled cows though...
