5.4
That's a sizable quake. I've seen houses knocked off their foundations in a 4.5.

I live here between two major faults, one of them the famous San Andreas. But Californians don't worry much about quakes. They are too rare, too quirky. Bottled water in the house, what more can you do?

Kolekshuns, that's the most important question a person can ask of themeselves...Are you ready...is your soul ready for an unexpected end?

Most people felt the earthquake, but I knew nothing about it until......

I saw the newspaper upon my arrival at work.  Sure, it was mild, but remember

what scripture say about never disaster without first, a warning.  We have had

an aweful lot of rain lately, probably enough to cause a shift in the earth.  We

need to take this serious and be ready for tragedy just in case.  We never know

what the Master plan is for us.  We have been blessed so far, but one day our

luck will run out.  Are you ready?

Re: Setting a lot of nerves on edge around here because of the aftershocks
ahaaaahaa!  Katray that's hilarious...I can just picture the scene!  Hopefully when she wheeled the cart down the aisle that you'd not been down she realized that you were completely innocent!  LOL!

Setting a lot of nerves on edge around here because of the aftershocks
Like incessant reminders of the uncertainty beneath our feet. A tiny crack appeared in my wall, right before my eyes during Friday's shake. I guess how much you feel or notice is determined by not only the strength of the quake but also your surroundings. There was a 5.4 (if memory serves) that hit when I was a little girl, in the grocery store with my mother. Never felt a thing; too busy trying to convince my Mom that I didn't cause all the stuff to fall off the shelves so I wouldn't be feeling a swat on my behind, lol.
