Nautikos, thank you so much for your comment on 'paradise' and all you told me about Canada. I have actually been but only for a few days and a longer visit is definitely called for. I liked Quebec a lot!!

Nautikos, It seems that seemingly sane people go absolutely bonkers when it comes to getting a divorce.  Remember The War of The Roses?

Half, hell! If we're dividing, I want what I put in.
You can take your discarded socks, your beer cans, your collection of Playboys and hit the bricks, bud. You never used the lawnmower, wouldn't know a screwdriver from a chisel, so the toolbox is mine. As for the car, you let it run down, never changed the oil, left it gasping and wheezing, shimmying at every stop sign. Take it and welcome. And your collection of country music -- listen to it in good health.  I'll keep the house. I arranged the financing, made the down payment and most of the monthly ones, took care of the taxes and caulking the windows. The kids did the yard work, so you've got no equity built up.  And yes I can recommend a lawyer (my own shark lawyer handled his divorce).

Nautikos
After drinking with friends last night, then having a rant in my own blog, going to sleep to awaken at 3:30 and now sitting here typing with bleary eyes....this threw me into hysterics when I decided to take a quick break in Blogitland.....my co-worker is looking at me, wondering what I could possibly be listening to on my iPod to cause me to hoot like this....I know just how the guy feels.....he better hope his wife doesn't feel the same about knives and halving things......
