Anne
Depression is more common than you realize.  I, too, suffer from the ups and downs and although for some time I was medicated to try and achieve a balance I now manage it on my own.  On those dark days, I try to keep life simple and take on things that bring me joy setting aside the drudgery of such things as the huge pile of laundry staring me in the face.  I’m a bit of a hermit (and that’s not so wise) but on a darkened day I often find solace in writing, watching a “feel-good” movie, going for a walk, or writing a letter to someone I haven’t made contact with in a while.  You’re not alone, that’s for sure, and my only advise is to direct your efforts and attention to things that make you feel at ease when depression hits.

i understand

Depression is hard to deal with.  I know, because I have been dealing with it for many many years.  There are days when it is difficult to get out of bed in the morning, because I feel like, what's the point?

It sounds like you could benefit from professional counseling.   Someone who could listen to you objectively, and help you find some strategies for dealing with the 'dark hole' days.

I have only just recently come back to Blogit.  I'm putting you on my favorites list...This is not the last time you will hear from me.

Know that there are people who feel like you do.  And, know, that there is always hope, however small it may seem.  Hang on to it.
