You say the source of this planet and the single largest factor in the sustenance of life on this planet is ruining our environment by causing global warming. I do think that it is naive to think that China of all governments will care what America does but I also think it is naive to take the stance on the subject as a whole as you do. At least China (for the time being) does not act inhumanely to people across the sea from them while interfering with their ideologies and economies like America has been doing for several years now. I most definitely do not support individuals who are riding the looming global warming disaster for profit either but I will support any effort at preventing any further ecological damage before I will support your view on economy vs ecology. When it comes to priorities I will rather cut down industrialists than trees because of their inability to realize their dependance on that which makes our very existence possible and their inconsiderateness towards the "underclass" people in the world. I can never be too harsh at criticizing anybody who favors industrial progress above the conservation of nature. Even so I have cut out most of this comment and edited it several times to tone it down by almost 100% just incase people with a "short term only" morality cannot handle it.

Re: THIS POST IS THE HEIGHT OF IDIOCY
Hardly. I fully recognize the point that was being made. And, having recognized it, I categorically reject it.
I'm not going to waste time rehashng why; see http://www.blogit.com/Blogs/Blog.aspx/WriterofLight9282/533768 for discussion of the fallacy of this metaphor.

THIS POST IS THE HEIGHT OF IDIOCY
The picture is intended to make a point. Any idiot can see that. Now where does that put you on the scale?
If the Iwo Jima veterans were to look at the picture in the way it is intended, they would see that the battle ahead to alleviate Global Warming is quite similar to military actions such as Iwo Jima, and that success in battling Global Warming would be as monumental an accomplishment as raising the flag on Iwo Jima.
That's the point. You missed the point.
But actually I don't consider you an idiot. I consider you a propagandist for the polluting industries among others.
