Napoleon was a dominant force, charismatic, a master at manipulating people
Napoleon would be president of France today and hold greater sway over the people than he did in the late 1700's.  Of course, one could say that Napoleon would also be subject to the checks offered by the media today that weren't available in his day, limiting his popularity.  Perhaps.  But the great motivators and manipulators always find a way.

Saul_relative, I wonder what Napoleon would say today if he could see our glut of mass media in the "wonders" of our internet, TV coverage, etc.
