Re: Re: Re: Soul Builder
We have been infected with a dog eat dog, survival of the fittest, totally Darwinian approach to government and society. That elitist attitude comes directly from the top, right out of the Whitehouse. It is their version of trickle down economics, and it only benefits the rich who are protected and insulated from disaster by their money.

Re: Re: Soul Builder
My feminist boss fired me because I got injured doing 2 people's work. Then they hired 2 people with a few weeks to go. I couldn't sue because of bankruptcy! I couldn't even collect workmens comp! What a bad experience!

Re: Soul Builder
Did you retire from Levitz before they declared bankruptcy?

Very good summation of the present! I worked for Levitz Furniture! I also saw the documentary you mentioned. Even the Eiffel tower and the Statue of liberty fell! Great job!

Re: It will get worse before it gets better
Yep, and we don't really know how bad it is because of bush-boys control of statistics and the media. We just know how bad things are in our little corner of the world.

Re: great description of the store ending ... I had a small
Hi Vickie, perhaps if you had been aware of the business practices in your area, you might have survived, but in an economic downturn, stuff we really don't need, like "collectibles" are the first things to go.

It will get worse before it gets better
Bush and his cronies are deliberately leaving an economic mess behind so they can blame the Democrat who will be the next president.

great description of the store ending ... I had a small
collectibles shop years ago in a small West Texas town. It was on a main street leading to "Trade Days" which happened once per month. I couldn't sell ANYTHING. I had some great stuff too. After about six months I decided to close it down - when I got to 75% off you couldn't walk around in the shop. The problem, I finally learned after a few months, it was mostly a farming town, they get paid once a year so all the stores extend them credit until pay day - I did not extend credit.

I expressed some of the same thoughts in my poem 'writing in the sky'. I think God has finally realised that he has made a mess and may seriously consider to wipe it all out and start over again.
