Vandalism has different causes...
but is always scary in it's apparent mindlessness. Sometimes it's just done for the 'thrill', but often it's a sign of some deep-seated anger and hostility...
And the cat repeatedly swiping the screwdriver - that's awfully cute...

The cat story was so cute....
but that vandalism story----That just pisses me right off. About 10 years ago someone sideswiped my car in the middle of the night while it was parked in the driveway. the front tire even got punctured. That just can ruin your day.....I'm feelin for ya girlfriend!
