Re: soulbuilder
Thanks tattered! If the age is a problem, then go for the fountain of youth. When you find it, tell me! lol

Thanks Kabu! View it as a holiday at low cost, where you CLINK coconuts instead of glasses!

Re: Elyse
Actually the bulb was slightly dislodged. I jiggled it and its working fine. It wasn't anything regional. The classic choice is either to live for yourself or for others. If everything else is 'added unto you', then it has to be living for others! Thanks!

we can always say IF but in this case it's for real. If I was younger I
would have loved to have lived this life for a year or so. Giving back is what it's all about for me. Candlelight Dinner sigh....but then so is this!!!!!!!!!

In my younger days I did try a stint with VSO (in the UK)
although it didn't work out for various personal reasons; I have to admit the feel good factor was enormous; the feeling of helping others in unparallel to anything I have every done since; thanks for a great post Dave

I don't think people know the TRUE value of a volunteer!!!  So understated.  Volunteers are the best people in this world today!!!

Wonderful blog here Dave ~ sorry for the blackout or is it by choice?  I know some areas have these type blackouts...it should be implemented everywhere --- but, back to your blog here.  Great suggestions.  I so want to do missionary work (overseas) and my family encourages me--- however, now I'm doing missionary type work within this community.  It's rewarding.  I care for the elderly, those that are just time away from either death or nursing home status.  There are many needs out there for many to aid and assist in.  I believe in many of the programs.  Great blog Dave  Elyse
