Wigopa, this brings back memories of a time I was camped out at the bottom of the Havasu Canyon between Supai Indian village and the Havasu Falls. The Indians there believe that ghosts come out in the canyon at night and they make every effort to be in their villiage before dark. (I found out that its not ghosts that haunt people but zipping, zooming bats from caves in the canyon walls and hungry skunks that come out at night to scrounge along Havasu Creek for food. Anyway, I heard the pounding of hooves in the packed sands of the trail and around the bend came an Indian brave, not so brave, flying with the wind to get to safety. I didn't see the ghost he thought he saw, but I got a good look at his frightened face and the froth dripping from the mouth of the horse.

Anyway, thanks for the memories.

It is very thrilling to ride at night..I once saw an older man back in South Dakota riding one of his grandkid's horses..He was not supposed to be doing it..But she had needed some help with his training and I watched in awe (age 7 or 8) as this man (age 95) went about putting this young horse through his paces..I was amazed..I can only hope that at that age I will be just as good..(Not to mention still riding) Glad you liked it! Thank you!
