The stupid thing is...
... the firings, while reprehensible morally, were perfectly legal. The cover-up of the administration involvement in it, though, wasn't. In order to give Bush deniability, Gonzales and others were forced to lie to Congress.

There still is some justice in this sad world of ours.

Re: I'm sure unemployment
Loribeth, though I want it as much as you, these guys are capable of anything, like declaring war on Iran right before the election, and declaring a state of national emergency in this country, making elections null and void...could happen...;-(

I'm sure unemployment

could not have happened to a more deserving guy.... other than Bush and Cheney... wait, that's just around the corner, isn't it?

That makes me feel warm inside.

I wish I had a more generous spirit so that I could say I'm sorry for the man. I think he was a puppet in the Bush Administration (one of many). But, I really have no feeling for his pain. Now, if this was Cheney you were talking about, I'd be jumping up and down. I want to see that man deal w/ "a whole lotta hurt". Just looking at his face makes me want to scream.
