The stupid thing is...
... the firings, while reprehensible morally, were perfectly legal. The cover-up of the administration involvement in it, though, wasn't. In order to give Bush deniability, Gonzales and others were forced to lie to Congress.

Loribeth, though I want it as much as you, these guys are capable of anything, like declaring war on Iran right before the election, and declaring a state of national emergency in this country, making elections null and void...could happen...;-(

could not have happened to a more deserving guy.... other than Bush and Cheney... wait, that's just around the corner, isn't it?

I wish I had a more generous spirit so that I could say I'm sorry for the man. I think he was a puppet in the Bush Administration (one of many). But, I really have no feeling for his pain. Now, if this was Cheney you were talking about, I'd be jumping up and down. I want to see that man deal w/ "a whole lotta hurt". Just looking at his face makes me want to scream.
