Being there for your child is priority number one.
I've seen first-hand the effect of parents who leave their kids with sitters all the time so they can party and stay out all night. Not only do the kids usually lose some connection to the parent, but they mimic their parents behavior--if your son sees you out till 4 am every night, he might just grow up thinking that sort of behavior is okay, and start doing it himself.
If you don't want to be out all night, then go home. And if your cousin thinks it's okay to leave your child for a night of partying, then maybe she's not someone you want to spend time with. Don't ever let anyone make you feel guilty for being a good mother!

As I have written in my past posts.....what you believe in is absolutely right. You have to make you happy, what everyone else thinks, wants, believes is TOTALLY irrelevent. Being a mother means being a mother! You decide what that is for YOU!

Being a mother is foremost
and no-one should intrude into your way of bringing him up. Children look and learn from a very young age..and you need to be there for them.

not at all my dear...i can understand your feelings coz it's how i feel for my children i'd rather stay with them than party all night or if i have to bring my kids with me and go home when it's time....you're doing good dear...being a good mother is the best fulfilment for every woman...as well as being a good wife...your son will grow up a proud child for having you my dear...
