LOL Pat!
Glad I'm not the only one to get suckered into their 'chatting' ploy! At least it's a good cause!

chatting about all kinds of nothing for a while, then she signed me up for Doctors Without Borders. I think the charities have learned a bit about marketing... But it's a good cause. :)

Re: Re: Don't you like the ripple effect of all of this....
Making a difference. It depends on what you measure these things against. Sometimes you never fully know the impact of your actions. Of course these projects are sold on the basis of one person here making a difference to one person there. Human to human, it's the shortest space. Behind Linda are many whose faces are never seen.

Re:
Hey vogue,
Thanks for reading!
Helium and Blogit are very different sites, serve very different purposes, and are both great, in their own ways. While Helium might be grand for finding freelance writing opportunities, Blogit is the place to be if you're looking for a more personal interaction with the community!

That was nice! Thank you for your comment on my post re: helium. I think I will concentrate on the market place there if at all, but I totally agree, blogit is much more fun.

Re: Sira
Naut,
I'm still not convinced that it will make a difference. But I'm willing to try, and that's a start.

Azur,
It's pretty cool when you look at it like that!
I hope that my little contribution really will make a difference--I'm still a bit skeptical about it, but I suppose time will tell.

Re:
LLM,
That sounds like a great charity! I don't know about more people--maybe just more generosity from the people we already have!

Don't you like the ripple effect of all of this....
A man needs to do something to feel of use, to contribute, he reaches you, in turn your action makes a difference to a young girl far away, the opportunities she has to grow and thrive make a difference in the future of her land. It is a good thing.

God will bless you for your generosity, Sira. Last month, I started donating $15.00's a month to an organisation that delivers food boxes to elderly Jews living in Russia and The Ukraine. So many people in need...If only there were more people in the world.
Shalom...
