Jealously: the cancer in any relationship. Steer clear of that.

"Treat people the way you want to be treated"...
you said so in your own "about me" :)..I know, sometimes it's difficult to follow one's own advice..that just shows you too are human like the rest of us ! - Ash

Isn't it ironic...
...how love breeds need....and need breeds possesiveness....and possesiveness leads to jealousy. Which started as a result of loving someone! God
must have a sense of humor!

What's wrong with jealosy--nothing if you don't want to compete
I get two ideas here. There is nothing wrong with jealousy, because it implies competition--that's the idea of two people in the world making themselves interesting to eachother (and yes, it's work). I don't know what you are competing with (because it is never stated, and I'm not sure you are at all clear about this). It seems you are competing with someone whom you love, or might be in love with, but we don't know what you are competing about (and why you competing anyway?) Hey, throw us a bone!
I'm troubled by the thought that you seem about to throw the baby out with the bath water--and more amazingly, you don't even throw up a resistance to this thought.
More interseting is how you equate both zones to failure. Why would you want to do that? And why would I want to read a poem without an elevator?
Maybe you're not ready to close this chapter in your book, but I'm wondering, why not. We all have to be and breathe for another day.
