Well spoken
I have been out of the stream of things, I've been sick, and there is nothing like a horrible bug to make you feel like time is passing you by. this was an insightful work, we are changers and movers, and those who can't keep up are yes sadly left in the dust.(especially if they don't feel good) So I have some catching up to do.

You are so right, Mankind has no patience for mother Earth any more.  We want the quick fix, the fast lane, the eternal youth. We are so busy changing the world around us to suit our needs and whims, so sure of our superiority.  Mother Earth will soon get fed up of our arrogance though and all the lessons she taught us as the dawn of time have been forgotten, so we are gonna be in BIG trouble!

You summed it up so well with this..

“Time and tide wait for no man. A pompous and self-satisfied proverb, and was true for a billion years; but in our day of electric wires and water-ballast we turn it around: Man waits not for time nor tide.”

I just found this quote so perfect for this write..Great job.

Isn't what really changes us? from one moment to the next are we
ever the same as we were? can we be?  i don't think we can change the ebb and flow of mother earth at least not for long, but we do change how we interact with her.
