I Love the
"Schizophrenic landscape of LA" I love it! Reading you revs me up for my own writing, to make it the best it can be! Thanks Halfeleven!!

I still think...
here the author is intruding into what are essentially Connie's reflections, and Connie wouldn't know a 'dysfunction' if it bit her on her undoubtedly shapely bum - but hey, the author is God, or Goddess, in this case...

Re: I enjoy this hugely!
I did look at the phrasing on "dysfunction". That was narrative, not a quoted thought, so I think I'll leave it the way I wrote it. But thanks for making me look. :)

"Cute"
Cute was irony. :)
I'll check about my phrasing on dysfunction but I've actually heard people make similar remarks. Thanks.

I enjoy this hugely!
Two trivial points: There is no such thing as a 'cute little Cadillac SUV', there are only big and rather silly ones, and I don't think Connie would think in terms of 'a history of dysfunction' when thinking of her own life or the lives of the other denizens of the Vegas bar scene...
