AnneDiNapoli, This post has brought me a happy memory of a dear sister who could not resist a beautiful piece of cloth. She didn't sew or make anything with it, but she would buy a yard or so and it would become her "Fling Cloth". She had a certain chair that was in a lovely place and she would fling the pretty piece of cloth over the back of that chair where it would drape beautifully and add a special quality to the room. It would stay until the next special piece that she bought and she would exchange it for the next.

I can't resist embroidery, silver and gold fabrics. And yes, there is always use for them.
