benzinha - I've been there - paying for an online store doing nothing
Of the fully hosted ecommerce solutions, I can only recommend the eBay basic plan at $16.95 per month. I have yet to find an alternative that exposes the store owner to as much built in traffic but it has so many restrictions and limitations. Ecommerce has changed so much in the past few years that the new online economy mandates a certain way of doing things.
All hosting, advertising and promotional expenses must be kept to absolute minimums until a client base is built up. $40 is way too much for a fledgling store to pay monthly unless it has the business to cover it. Utilizing highly ranked free classifieds (such as: Kijiji, Craigslist) and Google Base is now a necessary promotional avenue.
Once you have established a client base, it is important to have email newsletter capability in your ecommerce solution.
I'm going to have to write a post on this subject as I could go on and on.

welllllll, you say it costs $0, but your Kingly expertise and precious
minutes away from your family have a value, no?
Everything has value. I wish that I had your brain. When I feel well again, I want to redo my store again and just cut out the crap and sell....it's on Yahoo. It has just floated for over nine months or so now.....$40 a month, I think. Should, could, can do better than that, I'm sure.
1 and 1 offers cheap stores, homestead, but, many say they are no good.
