Nautikos
You are at it again. This is so funny or stupid or what. Wait until Junior can't get a date and gets a 21 year old rubber dolly he can dress and undress. Wow mom will think he is so cute. This one takes the rattle.

It reminds me of one of my mom's friends who had a baby doll
that she thought was Jesus. She used to bring it him with her everywhere. She even went to the Vatican in Rome to have it him blessed by the pope. Can't remember if he, the pope not the doll!, agreed to it or not. Well, as this happened in the 70s', it seems that she was just a bit too early for her time.

Ummmmmmmm

give her a real baby and see how long she want to play pretend after that!  That baby never grows into her teens and decides to plaster her bedroom walls with posters of BOYS nor does it give you that look, like you are the dumbest person on earth.

Hmmm maybe, the doll is better idea afterall LOL!

Nautikos, I checked out on the internet some of the Reborn Babies available for adoption.  They are absolutely adorable.  It almost makes me want one.  LOL

I've never heard of this before, Nautikos.   Hmmm, people do strange things.

Nauikos
Actually, when I consider how little my own granddaughters have played with dolls, compared with how much little girls played with dolls in times past.....maybe they're just finding a way to do what they should have done when they were too busy being turned into little women much too soon.....I don't know....I just really don't know...I'll have to chew on this one awhile....

obviously this lady needs a child...........................

Do you suppose she doesn't know where they come from, Nautikos?  I don't think she's playing with a full deck!

Sally was here to spend the night again.  She left about 1:00 to go home and get ready to go back to work tomorow.  She's doing fine.  I thought she would blog, but I guess she didn't.  Her computer at home is not set up yet.  We went out to play yesterday (at he casino across the river) and we lost - again!  hahahaha

When my kids were teenagers that idea would have sounded wonderful, imagine the benefit of putting the baby back in the box when you are too tired to attend to its needs. All I can say is more money than brains in this purchase.  sam

Ummm....

What's going to happen if everyone starts substituting dolls for children? I can see a lot of benefits in my own life--no painful birthing process, no dirty diapers, very few expenses compared to a real child. Is this the future of child rearing for "sensible" people?

It wouldn't take more than a couple of years for the birth rates to drop to the levels we had in the 1930's. And a few generations of dolly children would almost surely land us in the middle of the future that was predicted by the movie Idiocracy.

Oh, and what kind of lunatic do you have to be, to start playing with dolls in your late 20's?!?

Maybe reborns would be better than dressing dogs and cats in costumes
and talking baby talk to them. If millions of otherwise logical adults ascribe human emotions and motives to domestic animals, how is it weird to play with dolls?  At least little reborns won't steal mommie's precious sleep and leave her mentally challenged and dysfunctional for the work day as real infants will. And they don't become teenagers. What's the prob???
