- Go to How Can One Kill A Rollie-Pollie Bug Without Any Guilt?
Vogue,
I hear ya on that. I try not to kill spiders if I can trap them and get them outside, BUT, if they are really big and scary (like the ones in Tampa....yeeks) I too must paralyze them with anything close by. Hairspray, perfume, kitchen cleaner......

Lovelylady,
I hear ya, but Rollie Pollies are kind of in the same category as Lady bugs!

Hmmm, Kooka....
Your friend sounds like an interesting person! But it seems a more interesting thought to have Rollie Pollie's rule the world. I'm sure anything would be better than the Powers that Be as of late, huh?

Sir Strat,
Lady bugs have tongues? Quit feeding them coffee and they won't fly around in dizzy circles!

LOL SpitFire!
I think I know what kind of bugs you speak of....kinda fun ones! Can you just gather them into one area? Let them hang out with their famille? Good luck on the move (back to?) Tampa! Nice and warm eh?

They are harmless little guys, so no need to kill them. A spider is another matter. I paralize them with hair spray, then grab them with a towel and throw them out. If they survive that treatment, they are welcome to frighten someone else!

I have a friend who has a rollie-pollie colony
I've not seen it yet, but I guess it is like an ant farm.
I joke that he is building up an army of them for his plans to take over the world.
He actually gave my boys a dollar each for them to go and find some for him.

Sir Strat,
I've never seen a Lady Bug stick her tongue out at me...I must look closer cause they're are tons of them here, too. However, I'm moving back to Tampa in 2 weeks, but until then, I'll look!!

Ladybugs are the ones that crack me up, Young Miss.
They get so flippant -- look like their sticking their tongue out at you, then they fly in these crazy dizzy circles. I actually was able to feed one -- spill a little coffee creamer on the counter and she would circle down and land near it and drink it. What a trip!
But yeah, Rolle Polles are pretty groovy, too!
