Thanks! You should've stopped after the line about 'You don't know what I'm talking about'. Instead you go on to claim you know some things, question my knowledge, ask me about lineages etc etc. Hatha Yoga is one of the limbs of the Eight-fold path of Yoga or Ashtanga Yoga, which was proposed by the sage Patanjali. In modern times, Swami Sivananda Saraswati who set up the Divine Life Society, renewed world interest in TOTAL yoga...all 8 paths done at once! I learned from Swami Sivananda. Does that answer your 'lineage' question? I write my Original research here, with accreditations as necessary. I don't need 'sources' when I researched the effectiveness of methods in the field. I have been to Rishikesh and stayed in the Divine Life Society's Ashram. You see, I am not a copy cat, and despite your views on Hatha Yoga, you are no researcher! My readers use their intelligence to judge for themselves. That is as it should be. When I left India, I was told to teach. That's what I do. Nobody has to believe me. If you cannot mentally process info and judge right and wrong yourself, then no salvation is possible! Hatha Yoga does more than give health. It is reputed to realign the various koshas or sheaths...different bodies of man. The real Yoga is Raja Yoga, which you are reading here. Neglect one branch of Yoga and all branches dwindle! Beating the dark side with Hatha Yoga is a crucial victory! I said it because it is true! You're dealing with an original, here! Remember that!

Re: Hello Soul Builder
Thanks wordjewels! Yoga touts WILL as the supreme tool. The perfecting of will is what all the cleaning etc is about. Intentions are only important inasmuch as we try to guage what they really are...part of the enlightening process. I have come across some info like this from the New Agers. They extract the human from the world, put him in the mind's vacuum, and emerge with grand prescriptions. Good and evil does exist. Rather than be dichotomies, there is a scale where good and evil are just the extremes, with the confused making up most of the rest. One cannot leave man's history or man's existential landscape out of the analysis, and hope to come out with any relevant or useful. Vacuum-type theories cannot solve anything. Shakti Gawain with her creative visualizations, sold a lot of books....but achieved only that!

Re: excellent, just what i was looking for,
Thanks Callista! It works! You've got to be monitoring for changes and relapses and be prepared to take corrective action. That is how fightback takes place!

i don't know what you're talking about

you are entertaining

is that good?

You never cite any sources

of your "information"

nor do you list any spiritual lineage

Are you a true teacher?

Why should anyone believe you?

Hatha Yoga is a prelimary form of Yoga

designed to keep one in good health

so as to be able to pursue

their chosen form of Yoga

(yoked with God)

It was never intended to be

a spiritual path in itself

but it has become such

as it has become 'Americanized"

It over-emphasizes the body

and is not a true spiritual teaching.

Hello Soul Builder
All fascinating info. A couple of comments to add. Simply to be careful of dicotomizing; right, wrong, good, evil. Negative judgement, resistance, battle or fear propels a dynamic with that which we oppose. The work of being conscious without engaging negatively... "What we resist persists." Secondly I have found that intention is the most potent spiritual tool. If our intention is to grow, heal, transform, spiritually develop in truth and wholeness, then whatever postural technique we apply follows that clear spiritual intention. Peace.

Soul Builder-this is an excellent post! Thank you for directing me to it!
I am now so very different from what I was-which is shown on my 'alternative' sight ie:A Beacon Of Light? Before those days-I truly was living in 'the dark side'-but since the therapy-I have learned to and found-my Soul side! I can relate to almost everything you have written about and will keep coming back to 'here' as often as I need to-to keep your words foremost in my mind! I 'use' this way of being eac evening-outside on the porch! I find it invaluable-keeping me on a 'Peacefull' level and I can relate to other things you have written too! Wonderfull! I really must make time to visit your blog-far more often!Thank you Soul Builder-Chris.
