Aside from the term "illuminati" being adopted into modern English vernacular to imply that a person is wealthy and well connected, I had no idea that people could adhere to a conspiracy theory based on such a notion. A few months ago, I had a Blogit member email me a weblink that had her terrified (I wish I were kidding) HERE  . . . with the patience appropriate when discussing something like this with someone who obviously isn't playng with a full deck, I tried to explain why such a thing as an Illuminati New World Order worshippng Satan was impossible. Then her friends began sending me emails to argue with me. My patience dried up along the way, hence declaring this blog a New World Order proponent freezone.
