They still have beautiful fireworks over the river by the alte Brücke
twice a year in Heidelberg MaggieMae.
And I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you, sam, for the lovely poem that you dedicated to me. Such a nice gesture (I take it as a present for my rapidly approaching birthday).
Sorry to hear about the snow naut. but one of my sisters says that it is still snowing in Québec (on top of their 20 feet high snowbank)!
And your're right vogue: no kidding around with pompus German officials!

Happy ending, a German beer, good company - sounds good to me.

I remember a weekend in Hiedelburg a long time ago. Do they still have the "Burning of the Rhine?" It was beautiful! Thank you, auslander, for your visits to my blog and please forgive my absence from your's. I promise to do better.
(please forgive my spelling)

I am happy all ended well or it would have ruined the taste of the beer, because no doubt it called for one at the end regardless of the outcome. sam

All's well that ends well!
And walking through the woods in summer-like weather in
March, topping it with a beer on an open terrace really sounds paradisical to an Ontarian, who still has a foot of snow in his backyard...

I loved the train incident! Yes, German trains are to be taken very seriously, don't mess with them or the conductors. Having said that, you will have noticed: don't mess with any German official.
