That sounds magical, majroj. The closest I've come to that is gingerly treading on river ice and as it creaked, standing motionless in apprehension.

In our warmer climes it is totally impossible to KNOW about ice.
Those of us who have lived in cold winter areas sold write entire novellas abot our experiences.
For instance, a slent early morning, a medium-sized frozen-over mountain lake, and one mighty stroke with a rock hammer......
"P-I-I-IN-N-N-NG!"
Priceless. Cold as hell. Stung like a mother.

Sira
Technically, it is spring here, Sira. In fact I saw my first motorcycles of the year and my first open convertible. But the snow is still 3 feet deep (10 in some places) and it is still -10C and according to the forecast we are due to get your snow dump tomorrow - roll on spring.

It is sunny here as well, Whacky, but it is still -10C. It looks great as long as you are indoors with the heat turned up.

That's how I felt after I saw that boater. At least we can drive to the stores without fear of drowning.

After I saw that guy pushing that boat, TAPS, I put aside all romantic ideas of living on a deserted island - unless there was a toilet tissue tree included.

Yesterday I was bragging about our great weather
but Mother Nature stepped in to teach me a lesson in humility--we got a big dump of snow last night! No ice breakers needed, but it's enough to make the roads bad, and send me out to shovel the darn sidewalk.
Take heart Mac--this weather can't last forever (right?!?)

Ice breaker indeed! Makes me chilly to think about it!
It was sunny here today! If I could send you the sunshine to melt the ice I would.
A rose

and a smile

from me to you!
Bo =^. ,^= too!

I've officially stopped whining about our piddly half-inch of snow
on Easter and the thunderstorms we've had this week. It could be so much worse. I could be trapped on an island in the middle of a frozen river, and out of toilet paper.

Johnmacnab, I'm glad that the only ice I see right now is in my glass of tea. Its not exactly green outside yet, but at least I can run to the store when I need something.
