Re: FineYoungSinger - I tend to think that the word "Pride" when referring to
I've always agreed that pride doesn't really say it....but yes, arrogance is a huge factor...the arrogance that a person would actually think that just because they say "I believe" means they know everything. They don't know squat. I know, because I'm considered to be a very well-formed believer by quite a few folks that I know, and I feel that the more I learn the further away I can see that am from getting it.

mysteria - "anti-dynamics" is a good way of putting it
Gotta silence those heathens, set them on the right path and make them believe in God after all.

FineYoungSinger - I tend to think that the word "Pride" when referring to
what you refer to as a "capital sin" should be replaced with the word "arrogance".
In so many instances like this; there is someone telling someone else all that is wrong with their views, while continuously reminding us how evolved they are spiritually. It would be funny if it were not so prevalent, like when do people reach that point in their spiritual growth when they eventually realize that they are just another butthole with a religious opinion? .....I came to that conclusion about myself years ago.

sam444 - it seems to be something that new members succumb to more than the
veterans but I tread lightly while outlining the humor in it.
Simply because I have made the same mistake myself. Mind you, I have never gone as far as writing a scathing rebuttal post based on my error.

It just goes to show you---no amount of bible study can take a "believer's"
focus off themselves. Pride, as they say, is the worst of the capital sins.

I find it to be a bit of a hilarity for someone to presume a post is written specifically to them. sam
