My horse in this one is very real..she is a part of my heart..I have had many horses over the years but there has only been two that I can say who have touched me deeply..This one and the first one I ever had..If you like this poem you should check out the "Notes of a Dog Groomer" blog that I have..Right now it's just going horse crazy.I am glad and thankful that you liked this poem..

i don't know if you silver horse is real, but the bond between a horse and rider is like nothing else. i know because mine has become entwined with my soul... i can't imagine life when he's gone.

You like westerns don't you..giggle..Yes me and my daughter actually own 4.."Cushla Macree" the one I used for this poem is very near and dear to me since I saved her from an awful fate..Awesome to hear that your daughter rode..Boys! they are a darn hard thing to fight with aren't they...I am sure that if she really loved to ride she will go back when she has had enough of the boy's drama..
