Wow! A mouser dog! What luck!
BTW, I only put "wet" garbage into an automatically closing waste container, but I don't have dogs that can knock over anything in order to get inside of it. I wonder if they make smaller, authomatically closing cans? I see them in the doctor's offices, but they are probably expensive since they are metal. Sorry I can't help. Oh. But if you could nail down a can of peanuts, you'd find mice coming to it. Maybe a can of peanuts that you just use the sharp end of a can opener on to open it a little bit so the mice can smell the peanuts. That would make a good bait so your dog would have lots of mice to catch. Mice love peanuts. I'm not sure if they are after the salt or not, but peanut butter always works on mouse traps....

sam444, compassion or foolish elderly woman emotional decay?

I have become a Jain in my old age, I cannot kill critters lightly anymore. I could crush spiders and poison ants and spray mosquitoes joyously a few years ago, but alas, no more....

It has made this house unfit for grandchildren, they say. They come in and we sweep out spider's webs from the ceiling beams and corners and then we all can sit down without being 'creeped out' as they say. I clean all other surfaces often.

The garden is full of things that creep and crawl and I won't kill a black widow, if she promises to stay out of my sight and away from the children's tree climbing, etc.

I am slowly growing incapable of eating beef and chicken. Now, I just pity the fishies that I consume. I may soon move onto flora only in self defense. And if they do scientific studies on  plants weeping as we boil them, I will just die.....

I love your hat, Kabu, you dress as costuming, too, I see.

My clothing shows my state of mind.

The dog hair and clothing rips and soccer ball muddy dog slobber on the thighs, show my love of dogs and not much else. I try to change before going out, but Some Dog always tries to defeat my efforts at looking good. Sigh.....

Thanks for reading and writing and loving animals as I do.
