They say that actually touching, caressing, even talking to plants is what really gives them a boost for healthy growing and blooming. I try to do that a lot. And I try not to water them when I'm angry, I figure they'd better go a day without water than feel bad because I've berated them.

I must say I share your religion whole heartedly. Not many of my almost one hundred house plants are currently in bloom, but I like looking at them and touching them when I pass by. It takes me half of Sunday morning to water them all and clean off the detritus that has gathered. It is part of my Sunday morning ritual . . .
