Noone wins the race!
This pace that most fall into is actually destructive, it's not realized to what extent until it's too late......hmmmmmmmmmm. My Aunt Dorothy always told me that moderation is the key to longevity...... and variety is the spice of life. I say " Happiness comes from within, it exudes from those that live life as it is a gift and takes the time to revel in the pure beauty of our existence."
A very thought provoking piece.

You don't need the next piece...
...the way it ends is perfect! One of the things I've made as a goal in my life, is to live so, that, when I get to the end of my life, I don't have regrets. You're poem resonates with me on that level. Great job!

Olhip, you have a lot of interesting poems posted for the short amount of time you have been here. I went back to the first one and read it and several on the way back to this one. It sounds as if perhaps you have been around the block a couple of times. Good work.
