Sliding doors - yes, that's the movie...
Interesting perspective from watching people...I am a people watcher too. It is a good thing to speak to your Granddaughter of choices...yes Kris, because this world has some crazy...in a nutshell. God, may He protect us all and provide Guidance and wisdom and shelter and mercy... because, I believe, that yes, there but for the Grace of God could go I.
This was a very passionate write ~

Krisles, no, not if you mean in the sense of living more than one lifetime. I don't believe in reincarnation. As far as I am concerned, this one life is all I get, all I want and all I need, except for the eternal life that is promised for those who believe in the teachings of the Bible. It is though, an interesting concept and I wonder if there are bloggers who believe that they are an "old soul".

Me, too.....all my life I've been watching....and able to read them like a book. I can walk into a group and know immediately what the emotional timbre in the room is....or one-on-one; I love people and find them endlessly fascinating. I've never minded getting stuck waiting somewhere as long as there is a "show" for me to watch. And, yes, I think it is part of being a writer....or as a child, a writer-to-be.....or actor-t-be....or anyone who would grow up to interact in someway with people - people are always telling me I should have been a shrink! Which personal quality/innate ability/desire/passion comes first?.........interesting question, Taps....... Now, do you think you're an old soul in some ways, and that's why you have such an affinity...and such empathy...... for others?

What an interesting post, Krisles. Just curious, do you think that you would be such an avid people watcher if you were not a writer? I think I have always been interested in watching people, their mannerisms and traits. I can call to mind in great detail, persons from my childhood--people that I never knew and only saw once, and I was not a writer then.

Are you at all tempted to write a story about the two of them?
Probably not, but that's what I was thinking towards the end of this. Writing a fictional account with character development of the two women. Of course it would be most interesting if their stories contradicted their appearance, but a cliché approach I suppose.
What is observed isn't nearly as important as what the Observer takes away from it.

Isn't it amazing to observe the diversity out there - the result of choices made. And you're right. God's too busy to monitor our choices. He/she just lays it out there and leaves it to our own devices to make a left or right turn.
