Re: Is it the double slit experience that shows how light can be both a wave
The double-slit experiment is a good example, Ariala. But I don't know why the hell I even mentioned it - if I get into quantum physics, I won't have any readers left! This time business is bad enough...

Is it the double slit experience that shows how light can be both a wave
and a particle? It seems to change and become what it needs to in order to continue to travel...it may split, and then one part of the light becomes a wave and the other a particle but it always comes back together at the end.
This is a complicated subject and I never can wrap my head around it, (especially when time is involved) but it's fun trying, especially on an empty stomach.

TAPS, my dear,
Understanding this may be interesting, but should not be equated with possessing
wisdom. In fact, I would argue that one could
fully comprehend it and have little or no wisdom at all. However, having read your writings for a while now, I know that you are a warm and thoughtful lady who possesses wisdom in spades...

Re: Have you been talking to Ariala? LOL
Ariala? No, Shelly. Does she know anything about time?

I wish I could say I am with you. I could pretend to understand all of that so that you would think me wise, but to be honest, I am getting "loster" the farther we go into the "woods". The part that was very clear to me was,
"Particles have a typical ‘lifespan’, the rate at which they decay and turn into something else." I think I understand that, since I feel as if I'm just a particle in this vast expanse of humanity in our world and the rate of my decay is ever speeding up.
