About 100 or so were sent to norhern California and another 100 or so were sent to Phoenix. It was quite a concerted effort.

Some dogs had chewed their feet off and others were ill to the point of death. They are being cared for and hopefully can be rehabilitated enough to go to the people who have signed a waiting list for the special needs dogs.

Puppy mills should all be shut down.

People can be wonderful in a pinch.

The price that they are paying for the animals includes the neutering, and I hope that they are performing them before releasing them.

Yup, no neutering of birds as they are too delicate for surgery unless it's an emergency, usually.
