I think a different approach works.....
as my grandpappy said, if someone insists they saw a jackass fly, just smile and say they did. If someone insists they saw a jackass fly.....tell them how nice their wings look!

I like debate
So what frustrates me is that you can't challenge somebody's position anymore without them taking it personally. What's going to happen - if it hasn't already - is that the art of debate is going to be lost. Much of the time people have already made up their mind what they're going to believe anyway, so debate is useless. But sometimes friction creates a pearl, so let's not outlaw opposing points of view.
