I thoroughly enjoyed this article
Your writing style is absolutely a joy to read. At one point I experienced cutis anserina - te he he (goose bumps). I would love to be able to write like this - I guess it takes practice, practice, practice. Well I aspire toward your talent.

You're right, Leon, to an extent. But don't be too quick to laud upon the

electorate a great enlightening and all-encompassing halo.  Too many are subject to too many prejudicial fears.  You're seeing them at work with the polarization of the black and white vote.  Although I do believe that this is not the nation of our grandfathers, it is still the nation of our fathers -- and much of our fathers are still part of us.  It is unfortunate, and it is even more unfortunate still, that there are elements within our society that would exploit those fears and weaknesses simply to elevate one person over another in an opinion poll.  But just as there are visionaries and those who would reach higher and farther, there are also those that are base and petty and insecure.

Fear is the greatest of all motivators.  It overshadows emotions and logic and philosophy.  I like your vision, your hope, Leon.  And I believe that people would like to think that they can rise above their common debilitating fears.  I just don't think they can or will...
