Impressive Saul
You sound like my father. He got drunk at his bachelor party and called in sick with a hangover the next day. That was 1957. He retired in 1999. Never missed another day.

Check it out, jj. The only time I have ever missed work was to apply for
jobs at other places (and that only a couple times in 25 years) and a couple times for funerals and such. In 25 years, I have never missed work due to sickness. And I hate going to work... always have...

Hey there music man...
you may suffer from general anxiety disorder and the pills your therapist recommends may help out when you are in a cycle. Combine the pills with positive thoughts, ambience, and some music. Melody

Thanks Troosha
I've had my present therapist since 1/07 and I think she has helped me. Though I don't think she believes me when I say my moods are weather related. I'm sort of tempted to try another one but I'm not sure another one would do any better. I think changing Drs of any kind is usually a bad idea unless there's a compelling reason--and there isn't in my case

Jolly
Sometimes the professionals can (or should) only raise the questions and it's up to us to find the answers as to why we feel anxious or depressed. A good therapist, however, should be able to lead you down the right path. If that's not happening you should try another. I did and the second one I found did an excellent job of helping me help myself and yes, even find some answers.
