WOW, now that's taking the road less traveled to the max. Good for you!!! AWESOME accomplishment. We all deserve to be happy!
I too have difficulty in relationships due to things that happened in the past. It sure does make you second guess - even when things seems wonderful. There is ALWAYS a little doubt for some reason.
I do know we have to be happy with / within ourselves before we can be happy with anyone else. I have some really good lists, etc on my page if you want to review, like the repost I did today. Helps to keep me in check anyway!

It's wonderful to hear you sounding so confident and full of life. You have been on quite a journey but it sounds as though with each step you took you became a stronger woman. There's an old saying: "The proof is in the pudding." And you've got
the pudding. The descriptions of how your kids are doing tells the story. You may meet other challenges, but after the mountains you've climbed, there's no doubt you've got the tools to meet those challenges and win. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that your sweetheart will prove out and that you'll enjoy one lucky day after another with him.

I really don't know if things happen for a reason or because we weren't listening to avoid. I rarely hear anyone saying it happened for a reason when something is good. sam

Wonderful news! And, yes, you do deserve medals......consider them bestowed. Life is not for wimps and you definitely are not one.....hold onto how good it feels to take care of yourself in the way you have, succeeding in doing what you want no matter what the "knocks" have been each time.....it really is the getting back up that separates the winners from the losers. I'm really happy for you and all the people you are encouraging by sharing this with them.....just like you've always touched so many on here with your warmth and kindness.
