Azur
This reminds me of a truism in billiards. 'It isn't what your opponent pockets, it's what he leaves.'

hello, I hope you are well?
I have been away far too long...I wrote my first post yesterday in which feels like years and have started reading today...I have not done any of those things in months...its kinda hard trying to get back to doing the two things I love because I have been absent from doing it so long...I have missed you!!

It might be a challenge. But then again, writing, by its very nature, is a challenge.
Just think how great you'll feel when you overcome that challenge (which you will!), and can proudly say: Yes--I wrote that, and Yes, it is good!

It sounds like the workshop was useful, to a point.
What the other one said was going to be a challenge for you? Perhaps it would be a challenge for her, but your vision is what counts. She doesn't know what you know. Perhaps this is my own stubborn streak talking. I'm keeping you in my thoughts, Azur. Be well.:)

I think the most important thing is what you believe about your book. There is no doubt that dialogue must be mastered or your book is doomed. sam

Azur, its good that you can work right up to the last moment. It is good that you have work to keep your mind involved and active. I am virtually holding your hand and praying for the best of everything.

Great points!
I'm heading to a writer's conference at the end of the month...the more I hear, the more I like my book although I may be romanticizing too much. Keep on moving ahead, Azur!
